Day 286

A storm is brewing in Solon, Ohio...

Day 285

Such a joyful day in Chile! I became absolutely obsessed with this story of hope and could not stop watching the efforts that were put in today to rescue all 33 men from the collapsed mine. It's very inspiring to see how graciously other countries and cultures respond to crisis.

Day 284

I did a little work today at an Irish barber/pub in Rocky River (west side of Cleveland) and found this map of Ireland on the wall... makes me miss my potato-loving irish mates!

Day 283

Pre-bedtime reading session with Emily. Practice makes perfect!

Day 282

You know you're in Ohio when... even the scarecrows have O-H-I-O pride. (Found these guys in the Burton town square after an evening bike ride in Geauga county).

Day 281

Movie preparations!! There's nothing like curling up in big cozy chairs to watch a good ol' rated-G movie with 4 children on a Saturday night... good thing the nanny knows how to prep extra buttered popcorn and juice boxes for the occasion :)

Day 280

Emily had the wedding this afternoon/evening out at Patterson's fruit farm so I decided that since she was having a big, fun weekend that the rest of us would too.

We started our afternoon at the Solon Metroparks picking flowers...

... then played kickball...

... followed by a short hike toward Squaw Rock. Even Avery hiked the whole way along, obviously protecting the boys (my brother Eric came along as Jack's friend so he wouldn't be the only boy surrounded by all of his sisters for the day).

Day 279

Emily was asked to be in a wedding this weekend as a flower girl, so the night before she got dolled up for the rehearsal dinner.

Day 278

Tom Cruise, Risky Business?

No don't be fooled, it's just Madi. :)

Day 277

Well, we had a minor setback when it came to preparing dinner this evening... never a dull moment.

And to continue on that note, Jack sprained his thumb today falling off the couch and spent the evening in the ER!

Day 276

The only Morrill child who looks like her mother... and she's very much the bold 4th kid. (Avery at 18 months)

Day 275

The comfort of home...

Day 274

It was a wet and dreary day in the great state of Ohio... after gymnastics Stacey and I took the kids out to her parents' farm for a bit of pumpkin picking.

While Ohio isn't always the most beautiful place in the world, I still find such comfort in the view of cornfields. They certainly feel like home!

Day 273

I was able to have a quick catch up with Logan today (again in Chagrin) and I thought I would snap a quick pic of the infamous popcorn shop before heading home. A chagrin staple!

Day 272

A hot cup of coffee, Dave's cosmic subs, the views... all the reasons to love Chagrin Falls.

Day 271

Early evening bike ride with mom and dad along the topath/cuyahoga river. I love evening light... what amazing reflections! (Nevermind the construction all along the path that made for an interesting "off-road" ride. Good thing we were on our mountain bikes).

Day 270

In the process of cleaning out my closet I came across a few incriminating photos. This one wins... KTB and Lauren circa 1998, GOLD.

Day 269

Hmmm... too soon? It's september.
